Lo Stemmario Fiesolano

A seventeenth-century collection of over ninety coats of arms, each with a heraldic description, belonging to the podesta (mayors) of Fiesole in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. This painstaking compilation, illustrated entirely in color, contains a wealth of historical information on the town s leading families and an appendix showing the famous stone coats of arms decorating the facade of the Palazzo Podestarile (now Palazzo Comunale) of Fiesole.
