Richard Blake thought that taking a Community Policing role in an East Devon market town would allow him to settle down to a quiet life with his beloved long term partner, Kate. Richard soon proves to his new colleagues that his nickname, Captain Chaos, is well earned. While adding to his reputation as a combat sports competitor, he meets Martin Walker, a teenage outcast struggling to find a place in his family and social circles as well as a path in life. Blake moves from challenge to challenge and crisis to crisis. He tries to learn his new beat, keep Walker on the straight and narrow, and look after his own, while heading towards his own date with sporting destiny.
